Experience the richness of Vietnamese culture with this spectacular hour-long show mixing the acrobatics of contemporary circus with the theatricality of the stage, the musicality of a moon string instrument, and, above all, poetry. This one hour show begins at 6pm at the historic Opera House. A O is a blend of bamboo cirque, acrobatics and contemporary dance put together with creative choreography to the accompaniment of live Vietnamese music using 17 different instruments. Giant woven baskets turn into flamingos and crabs, among other imaginative creatures and contraptions, thanks to the clever performers behind the A O Show. Visit the historic Saigon Opera House in Ho Chi Minh City for this sophisticated cultural show featuring traditional music, dance and acrobatics. Beautiful choreography and stunning optical illusions lend to a story about how a rural Vietnamese community adapts to urbanization. Grab a complimentary beverage before settling into your seat for the family-friendly performance.
Make your way to Dong Khoi Street and head inside the Saigon Opera House to take your seat (depending on your selection). Marvel at this French Colonial architectural gem — also known as the Municipal Theatre of Ho Chi Minh City — completed in 1898 and restored in 1998.
Help yourself to complimentary beverage in the lobby before you sit back and enjoy the 1-hour performance of the A O Show. Director Tuan Le, who has worked with Cirque du Soleil, has enlisted the help of expat Vietnamese artists to bring this show to life with an energetic mix of dance and acrobatics. Larger-than-life props, such as bamboo poles and giant woven baskets (aka boats), transport performers across the stage.

Watch this talented cast take a journey through rural and urban Vietnam via a series of theatrical sketches that incorporate movement and melodic music. The song lyrics are in Vietnamese, enhancing the scenes of everyday life and igniting the imagination.
The visual effects, exuberant energy and stunning choreography create a feast for the senses — and it's entertaining for all ages!
